Artist Statement

Greetings patrons and fellow artists. I am an artist obsessed about creating something delightful out of something not-so-fabulous. I primarily work in oils, acrylic, and charcoal, but I also enjoy sewing clothes and working with mixed media/found objects. I am inspired by the macabre, b-horror movies, fiends and villains, and more than anything the human body (particularly the face). I specialize in portraits and can be found sitting in public parks drawing people and their pets for donations. I am a full-time art student and work as a life model for local art groups and classes. Roller derby is also a hobby of mine and I skate for the Phoenix Renegade Rollergirls under the alias Gyna Dentata.
