Artist Statement

I use patterns in my work because it is how I can connect my emotional self to the outside world. I use found patterns and patterns I create to try to connect the world I live in to the world inside me. For me creating my work is about the presses and the healing that it does for me. In the end I create bold, colorful, textural, paintings that have become about the feel of the paint and the play of color.
